Bill Bohannan developed his first self storage property in 1980. He continued to develop self storage facilities as investment properties while working in the banking and finance industry. In 1991, Bill left the banking and finance industry to pursue self storage development and management on a full-time basis. During this time, he became affiliated with Tom and Millie Swanson and, in 1997, he bought their interest in Arizona Mini Storage Management Company / Storage Solutions, a self storage management company specializing in third-party fee management, development, acquisition and consulting. Bill has held an Arizona Real Estate License since 1971, and today is the President, CEO and Designated Broker for AMSMC / Storage Solutions. Officers, Board Members and Bill have an ownership interest in a number of stores managed by AMSMC / Storage Solutions.

Ray McRae got his start in the self storage business with U-Haul International in 1983. His 15-year career with U-Haul included many positions, such as Store Manager, Area Field Manager, Area Field Manager/Dealer Program Manager for U-Haul International Corporate Offices and Marketing Company President of Chicago Metroplex. While at U-Haul, Ray assisted in many land purchases, as well as self storage facility acquisitions, performing due diligence, assisting with entitlement process through municipal agencies, coordination with contractors, and operations of these facilities as either company owned moving centers or third-party managed dealerships. Ray currently holds an Arizona Real Estate License and is a former Board Member of the Arizona Self Storage Association. Ray joined Bill Bohannan and Storage Solutions in 1998. Since then, the company has doubled in size through various joint ventures, third-party property management and branding affiliations.
