What is self-storage contents insurance?
TenantOne® provides
affordable insurance coverage for your valuable
items stored in a
rented self-storage unit.
Why do you need self-storage contents
insurance?
Generally, customers’ stored
property is not insured by the self-storage facility.
Therefore, it is your responsibility to insure
your stored goods. Homeowner insurance policies
may not provide adequate coverage protection
for items stored away from home, such as property
kept in a self-storage unit. TenantOne® offers
affordable, short-term coverage specifically
designed to cover items stored at a self-storage
facility.
What types of losses are covered by TenantOne®?
TenantOne® covers losses due to events beyond the self-storage
facility’s control such
as burglary, lightning, windstorm, hail, fire,
smoke, earthquake, building collapse, explosion,
vandalism, riot and water damage (some exclusions
apply).
What types of property is covered by
TenantOne®?
Almost
any personal property and most business property
is eligible for insurance coverage.
The following goods are not covered under this
policy and are automatically excluded: accounts,
deeds, bills, currency, evidence of debt, securities,
money, notes, jewelry, watches, precious stones,
furs and garments trimmed in fur, and boats or
vehicles.
