Storage Units on Bell Rd in Surprise, AZ 85379

We have rented a unit at this storage facility for about 17 months and only moved out because we are moving out of state. The staff are amazing! The facility kind of comes up quick on you after passing 60/Grand Ave on Bell (heading east be sure to be in the far right lane). Box trucks seem to fit fine, but you probably couldn’t get a full sized semi moving van in (lanes are tight). Prices were reasonable and the people are awesome. If you have to rent a storage unit in Surprise AZ, definitely look up Surprise Self Storage Solutions!

Such nice customer service

The Cons: There’s only a limited amount of storage units available depending on what size spacing you need, but if you’re fortunate enough to get what you wanted, then Congrats! Their Office Hours are Mon-Sat 08:30-17:30, + Sun 10:00-16:00 when someone’s there. The Gate Access Hours are from Sun-Sat 07:00-19:00, 7 days per week. There’s a 19:00-07:00 curfew 7 days per week when they’re closed and you could pay extra to get outside of the property if you’re still there after 19:00, and they lock you inside unintentionally. They also don’t offer any promos for choosing them over their competitors like a discounted rate or free month for moving your storage in. They also have no Veteran or Senior discount for your status or age and no Auto Renewal discount for making payments always on time. You also need to have property insurance, which will cost more to rent, but that can also be considered a Pro to protect your storage stuff. You need to have a lock as well to secure your unit when there’s storage inside and in use. The Pros: My Rental Reservation, Taxes and Admin Fee (a 1x fee) came out to $28.42 in total. You can use your own lock instead of theirs (theirs cost about $14 after tax) to secure your unit to save $. They do offer you a 12 day grace period to pay your rent after the due date. They are also located in a great spot close to my place off Bell Rd next to 134th Ave. between the Bell Rd bridge and Dysart Rd. And their prices are more affordable and reasonable for the amount of storage rental space you’re getting than their competitors in the same area. They have drive by garage roll up door storage units for extra convenience. They also are gated with security cameras in place for extra protection. They also provide a box truck with a loading ramp like U-Haul does for a small additional insurance fee of about $16-18 to use for moving your storage into their units. You will need to have $200 cash for a collateral amount, but if the truck is returned in original condition, you will get your $200 collateral amount back to you. You have a 25 mile radius restriction limit on where you’re moving your stuff to and from. You can only use the truck for 1 day and need to return it back before they close. They didn’t say that you need to replenish the fuel tank, but even if you do, it’s still a good deal if you qualify for using it if you’re stuff is ready to load and unload from point A to B on the same day of use. And MaryLou (she goes by Lou) is a pleasure to talk to. She’s also a Navy Veteran and my name is Ben, and am also an Army Veteran.

This location worked out well for our move to Sun City West. Well run operation.

Inexpensive, clean, friendly staff. the hours are 7 am to7 pm and the gate locks at 7 pm. That is the only negative thing so far.

Got me in when I needed, had plenty of size selection. Checking out when I was east and handled properly when I no longer needed the unit. Definitely recommend.

I have been renting from John for over 10 years sometimes I have one unit sometimes I need three units he is always there to fulfill my request. The grounds are always clean and well-maintained.

I called the 800 number and they could not fix the problem. So I'm now sitting in my truck with no a/c and it's 109* outside. The guy (I forget his name) did return and was able to fix everything in about 5 minutes. He was laid back and courteous. The units themselves are very clean and well maintained. I would suggest this place to anyone.

John is very kind and his knowledge of the storage business is quite helpful especially if you are new to the area or you're not familiar with Storage, the required insurance by law needed for storage rental or the laws that govern the business. I've been very pleased with my rental and especially this property in particular. They're good at communication, this pace is safe and clean, the policies are transparent and also understandable and in my experience Surprise SS is less expensive while being more thoughtful than the competition. Surprise Storage Solutions in Surprise on Bell is wonderful. They are what they say they are. Nothing more and nothing less. They do what they do very well. This place is very clean. There are no hidden fees. Their system is fair, transparent and understandable. The staff here is friendly and polite. They do a great job at communicating their policies and have multiple options for bill payment monthly whether you want to pay in person or online. They think about little details. For example there are wipes near the keypads for the gate to the property. I have also always felt safe here. The property is well lit. The only drawback is that it's close to Grand Ave. For this reason it's difficult to get into the property from the Westbound approach as you cannot turn directly left into the driveway due to the median. Also from the Eastbound side of Bell Rd the property is sometimes hard to see as it is at the bottom of a hill and if you get to Dysart then you have missed the driveway. The best part about this business is that their pricing is very reasonable. Surprise Storage Solutions was able to offer me a 5x10ft storage unit for more than $20 less per month than any of their competitors. The best part about renting from here is that you can use their truck to help assist with your move-in for the unit if you qualify. Personally I was very satisfied renting here and I would recommend Surprise Storage Solutions over any other storage company in the NW Valley. Other places are more expensive, less clean and not as thoughtful. Newly interested tenants would do well to speak with John the Property Manager on site as an excellent reference or visit their webpage to inquire further.

Considering the Covid precautions, my experience was great. Missed seeing John as he’s been the reason I keep using Surprize Storage. But Charles did a great job getting me a Unit I’d want and was extremely helpful during the Lease process.

I can't say enough about my great experience with SS in Surprise! Charles was friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable about the units. There were no uncomfortable attempts to "Hard Sell" me on something bigger or upgrade additional charges. The units themselves are not fancy, but the lower prices more than make up for the lack of pretty buildings. My items will be secure here and (THE BEST PART) the prices won't go up every month until I'm paying double for the same space!

Rented a space from Storage Solutions on Bell Road in Surprise on Saturday. Was VERY impressed with the way John, the Office Manager, set up the space to ensure COVID-19 safety. He built an inside/outside communication window, with a sliding table top, and made a very nice covered outdoor seating area. John had hand sanitizer for all the customers & was very concerned about client and staff safety. Way to go John! Thank you so much!

Staff is great. Was referred to this place by someone who had had a unit there for years. Super friendly people and the pricing was good. I chose this place, even though there was 4 other storage facilities closer to me.

Jackie is friendly and very capable. She ensured I received the proper discount special despite making the reservation online. She was very knowledgeable about laws regarding personal property and the storage of it. Storage Solutions has very reasonable.

Really nice people there they let us pro rate for ten days after we didnt need it they didnt have to do that very nice of John and I didnt ge the gals name but really good people thank you guys I changed to a three possibly two we tried to get in on Sunday at 5:30 gate closes at 7:00 we are paid but now I dont know how reliable this place is what if we really needed our items we would not be able to get them. Pretty out of the way but easy enough to find. Prices comparable to any other storage facility. They just changed owners and now you have to buy "insurance" on your unit even though the contract states they are NOT responsible for damage or loss of any of your belongs. That's illegal, as far as I know. If I'm paying you to insure my unit, which includes what's in the unit, that includes that YOU ARE responsible for any loss or any damage of ANYTHING in my unit. Just another way to steal more of your money. On the other hand, John, the man who looks after the facility, is a super great person and is especially great for customer relations. Definitely under appreciated by new management.

I arrived at Bargain Storage on a Sunday, which day the office is closed. I needed a bigger unit that day because I had a rental truck I had to empty by 12:30 pm that afternoon. John realized the importance of my need of a bigger unit. John went above and beyond the call of duty for me that day. I was able to get the rental truck back by the dead line time. John opened the office for me to do the paperwork and up grade the unit I already had to a bigger unit. I so appreciated what John did for me that day. He showed great customer service that day. I will recommend Bargain Storage to any one who needs a good storage facility. Thank you John!

This Place is great. John helped me out from the beginning. He has been there every time I drive up. He even remembered I had a daughter that liked suckers 4 weeks after we came in to get the unit. I feel like my belongings are safe knowing that someone so attentive to details is on the property at all times. I am extremely pleased with my experience here and would recommend it to my friends and family.

I have had a unit with bargain storage for a year plus now. I needed a bigger unit a few days ago and it was on a Sunday morning I needed the unit. Met the Manager of the W. Bell Location at a local Village Inn. We began to talking at opposite tables, and discovered that he was the Resident Manager of a Bargain Storage facility. We had a nice talk, and I found him to be very friendly and informative about the storage business. He said to consider them if in the future I needed to rent a storage locker. That time did arrive, and I went to see John Ustar, and he have me a tour of the facility. I found the right locker for our business needs, and signed a Rental Agreement. Great prices, great service, convenient location, and great facility. Very Pleased.

We've rented storage units here a few different times. Even though this facility is a bit of a drive for us now, we chose to go back because the service cannot be beat. I'm a senior citizen and during the entire time I'd been unloading my rental truck, Crystal came out of the office to check on me, making sure that I wasn't overheated or needed help! She also brought me several bottles of ice cold water periodically, since the temperature was well over 100 degrees! Not only do these folks have every size storage until that you could ask for but they also care about their customers, even after they've been paid! Which reminds me, their prices are unbeatable, especially for what all they have to offer! Don't bother looking elsewhere, this is as good as it gets!

I have been with Bargain Storage long before they took over. Ever since John got there it's been like a realty make-over. Fresh Paint, Nice Office, Great Customer Service. I think what I like most is that John makes you feel like family and community. Congrats on how nice everything is now!

I would give 10 stars if I could!! I was stuck in a situation where I had belongings being shipped from Boston, Ma to Surprise, AZ. The movers were way ahead of me and they couldn't wait for me to arrive so I had to find a facility to store my belongings until I could get out to AZ. I called over 4 facilities in the Surprise/El Mirage area and none of them wanted to help me out with my situation. Finally I found Surprise Bargain Storage and called, I was working with a man by the name of John who was fantastic!! He was very personable, stayed on the phone with me and walked me through all of the documentation in detail. John took a boat load of stress off of my shoulders and I am so very thankful for that. I came to check this place out because I read the reviews and saw the prices were very competitive. I called an made an appointment with John and when I showed up he was one of the nicest and most professional people I've met in a while. He made me the priority and did everything to accommodate me. People like John are very hard to find now days. He loves were he works and it shows just by his great attitude and work ethic. I wish every business I went I would get this type of treatment and service!! Surprise bargain storage is great place to go to get a nice unit for a great price but my final decision was John!! Least expensive in the area (Price match and months free!), first thought this is going to be run down like Thunderbird Mini Storage but to my surprise it was better than the big expensive franchise across the street (U-haul). To my surprise the place is immaculate, everything looks new, clean, well lit, security cameras everywhere, even new pavement. Excellent location and access from Bell Road, all unit sizes are available and impressively large even though it looks small from the street. Great Web site, easy to navigate and informative. The agent's there, especially John, is proficient, hospitable, friendly and funny. Very knowledgeable of the area and was very helpful. Thank you.

Great units at a great price, friendly service. We checked the U-haul first but with the two free months it didn't compare.

I am writing this review because I truly feel that John should be afforded any and all chances to be recon iced for his outstanding people skills, his answers were honest, direct, concise, and reflected his knowledge of his job. I will not go into a place of business until I have spoken to someone on the phone first. My reason for this is, I am very busy and do not have time or energy to waste on people who cannot or will not be direct and concise in their answers. I found in John, all of these things and more. I had no need to place another phone call. If John should ever be in need of employment I would be pleased to have him on my team. I am neither a writer nor am I accustom to writing reviews in fact this is my first for someone who was not my employee. Sincerely, Max.

After moving across the country from NC and needing to find a storage unit for all our worldly possessions we stumbled upon Bell and Grand Bargain Storage. John was so kind and helpful getting us 2 units to store our belongings until we purchased a home. After moving out John followed up with us to make sure we got settled ok.
